October Luncheon Meeting

Matt Byrd serves as President & CEO of Hillwood Aviation, associated with The Perot Group of companies, focusing on real estate, investments and aviation related business opportunities.

Being a real estate provider to aviation companies for over 30 years at their AllianceTexas™, AllianceCalifornia™, and AllianceFlorida™ developments, Byrd and Hillwood have demonstrated their commitment to maintaining long term relationships with its customers.

Prior to his current position, Byrd was President & CEO of Gulf Alliance Company, A Perot Company, based in Abu Dhabi where he lived with his family for 7 years. Byrd has held a variety of positions within The Perot Group Companies for the past 20 plus years.

Public service is of the utmost importance to Byrd. Byrd served for 33 years in the United States Air Force. Byrd retired from the United States Air Force Reserves in 2018 where he served as a T-38C Talon Instructor at Sheppard Air Force Base. In the USAF, he flew as an Air Demonstration Pilot with the Thunderbirds, an Instructor Pilot in the F- 117A Stealth Fighter, the A-10 Thunderbolt II and T-38C Talon. Byrd served 3 tours in the Middle East, where he flew combat missions in the F-117 during Desert Storm. While in NATO, Byrd had the opportunity to fly Russian MiGs and Sukois in Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary.  Read more…
