The Bosnia–Herzegovina War brought the most horrific acts against humankind in Europe since WWII. We present the dynamics of the county’s ethnic conflict and dilemmas surrounding international involvement as presented in this book. Briefly discuss the cause and conduct of the war; why, for more than three years, international efforts to resolve the conflict in Bosnia failed; and why they succeeded in late 1995. Review of the Dayton Accord of 1995 and ask whether, after years of peace if, long-term peace is sustainable. Our goal is to provide our audience insight into the dynamics of ethnic conflict and policymakers’ intent to prevent ethnic conflict from undermining international peace
