The relationship between Russia and Iran and the latter’s participation in the War in Ukraine has changed the way military leaders think about war in the future. It has also challenged the rules-based order that has been in place since the end of World War II. The new dynamic is the growing economic, military and political cooperation amongst Iran, the People’s Republic of China, Iran and North Korea.

Johanna Moore is an expert on Iran’s Axis of Resistance in Iraq and the Levant. Johanna graduated from American University with an M.A. in U.S. Foreign Policy and National Security with an emphasis on the Middle East.
